Seminar on December 14th

Next Monday we’ll meet again so as to go on with our wiki, whiteboard and google documents learning! Did you manage to upload songs onto the wiki? Have you started creating your own wikis for your students? As a matter of fact, I’ve only read some comments written that day and some editing about mix ability classes!

We’ll talk about all that next Monday.

Seminar on November 30th

How are you all getting on with your ICT skills? Last seminar I wasn’t very successful at uploading mp3 songs on BlipTv and embedding the code into the wiki! I’ll try that again on November 30th and I hope everything will work properly.

I think it could be a very good idea to start thinking and/or planning how to use wikis with students:

Who with?
what for?
what type of task?
how often?
what do I expect to get from that?
how am I going to assess students’ work?
how am I going to guide/help students to do that?
what do I need to prepare so that students may use the wiki in the classroom?

I think that if we think over/ prepare the answers to all those questions we may start creating particular wikis to meet our needs! Remember a wiki is like a web page and students will need internet addresses and instructions, guides, grids… on what they’ve got to do.

Our next seminar will be held on November 16th and we’ll go on whiteboarding, wikiing and gmailing!!

In the meanwhile you are warmly invited to add and change things in our wiki or write any comments, questions, suggestions… you wish either here, on the blog, or on the wiki itself.

Whiteboarding on Monday 2nd

As you know, we’ve fixed a sort of double task for our seminar work: on the one hand we’ll learn a bit about how to handle the whiteboard and on the other hand we’ll go on learning about our wiki, so that all of us may be fully engaged learning new things! In addition to that I have thought of starting sharing gmail documents (??) I’m not so sure about when to start this. We’ll discuss it on Monday.

Here there are some whiteboard resources I think may be useful and this running-on-its-own tutorial!

Today we’ll start working with our interactive whiteboard and editing our wiki pages. Obviously you can bring any files you think that you could share with others in your pendrive. Other than that, we may have a look at the INEBI site and download activites you find particularly interesting from there.

A new school year

Here we are again, ready to start working together, sharing ideas, worries, problems and solutions, that is, helping each other!

We’ll have our first seminar next Monday, October 5th. and we’ll discuss our work plan and calendar for this course.
